乾隆年制香炉共赏
香炉，是汉代时期设计的，最初采用青铜为材料，为熏香而设计的。熏香并不完全是古代文人生活中的点缀，它还有熏香衣物、消除疲劳以及驱散蚊虫等作用。

熏香的历史在我国由来已久，汉代著名的博山炉就是人们为熏香而设计的，最初采用青铜为材料，汉代的博山炉就是青铜制成的。汉代以后，香炉的材质逐渐丰富起来。宋代出现了瓷制的博山炉，但是它禁不住香粉的烧烤，很快就变成了文人的把玩之物。诸如此类，以后出现的玉质香炉、翡翠香炉等等，也都是一种用来陈设或者把玩的观赏品。与实用器相比，陈设器的价值也许更高。

此件乾隆年制香炉，包浆自然，炉身形制规整。通体光素，尽显铜炉精纯美质。铜质精量，入手沉甸，宝光可比良金，乃精铜铸炼所致。器表呈鳝鱼黄色，光泽内敛。皮色沉静浑厚，端丽容穆，浑然天成。底款书写“乾隆年制”，器表沉稳，光华内敛，色泽蕴藏于内，映出黯淡奇光，灿烂自然，给人以细腻柔滑之感。敦厚之中不失灵巧精致，是为书房陈设雅器。有炉光怪真异绝，肌腻肉好神清和，工艺精细，融铸造、抛光、镂空等多种工艺于一体，为当时上层人士所用，极具收藏价值。
