Shunzhi Tongbao is a coin coined by Emperor Shizu of Qing Dynasty (1644-1661). It is one of the five emperors' coins. At that time, the Ming Dynasty gradually weakened, and the Qing Dynasty gradually rose, replacing the Ming Dynasty. Especially after the Manchu Dynasty entered the pass, the Ming Dynasty was only one step away from extinction. After emperor Shunzhi ascended the throne, in order to consolidate his rule and make the Qing Dynasty more stable, he issued Shunzhi Tongbao.
In the first year of Shunzhi, Baoyuan Bureau and Baoquan Bureau were set up in the Ministry of industry and Hubu in Beijing. Later, with the unification of the world, money bureaus were set up in various places. On the coins, "Shunzhi Tongbao" was written in regular script. Shunzhi Tongbao contains 70% red copper and 30% white copper. A thousand copper coins are called a bunch. Shunzhi Tongbao once again set the position of "one coin per Wen", and later changed it into one coin with two cents, one coin with four cents and one coin with two cents. The coin types of Shunzhi Tongbao can not be unified, which can be divided into five types according to the back text, that is, "Shunzhi five types".
This coin is "Shunzhi Tongbao", which is round and square hole copper coin with round square hole. Its shape is similar to the heaven and earth inside, and it takes the essence of righteousness. The four characters "Shunzhi Tongbao" can be read directly from top to bottom, right and left on the front of the coin. The font is clear and easy to see. The writing is natural and smooth, vigorous and powerful. It can be seen how profound the calligraphy skills are. The back of the coin is engraved in Manchu, and the handwriting is clear and beautiful. Its outer Guo is wide margin, the inner Guo is flat and uniform, and the ground chapter is clean. The whole coin is made of fine copper. The copper color is golden, and the appearance is perfect. The coating is thick and warm. The font is dignified and regular, and the strokes are round and neat. It is a rare boutique. Shunzhi Tongbao is the "founder" of the coin edition of the Qing Dynasty. Because it was in the "Turbid age" of changing dynasties, it stopped manufacturing in the 14th year of Shunzhi, and its issuing scope was also small. It was limited to the capital area, and its stock was small. It can be preserved up to now because of the continuous wars of the Qing Dynasty army, and the Treasury resources were limited. This also makes Tongbao inscriptions thin, sharp, relatively small diameter, today, has become a major feature. In the history of the Qing Dynasty, Shunzhi Tongbao has a certain historical significance, because it formed the unified currency of the Qing Dynasty. We all know that in the history, in order to stabilize the economic development, Shunzhi carried out five reforms on currency. After many reforms, Shunzhi Tongbao became more famous. Nowadays, the collection value of Shunzhi Tongbao has become increasingly prominent. Many collectors are actively looking for this kind of ancient coins as family heirloom
