此枚孙小头为“出头圆”版本，正面中央为孙中山侧面肖像，边缘内上镌中文隶书体“中华民国”四字、下镌“开国纪念币”五字、左右长枝花饰。背面中央为中文隶书体“壹 圆”，装饰嘉禾，圆字中的口与边框连接并略微溢出，从而形成了出头圆。边缘上侧铸有“MEMENTO”(纪念币)字样，下侧为“BIRTH OF REPUBLIC OF CHINA”(中华民国诞生)，左右上方分列六角星图案，直线边齿。
This version of Sun Xiaotou is "out of the head round". The front center is a side portrait of Sun Yat-sen. On the edge, the Chinese official character "Republic of China" is engraved on the edge, and the "founding commemorative coin" is engraved with five characters, with long branches and flowers on the left and right.
