此枚“光绪元宝云南省造库平三钱六分”的品相较好，字体清晰，形制规整，质地优良，字体笔法流畅，纹饰刻制工细，此种钱币存世量稀少，同时保存得非常完好，铸字非常清晰，具有鲜明的历史特色。正面铸有铭文，顶部铸楷体“云南省造”四字，底部铸货币价值“库平三钱六分”六字，中心直读满汉文“光绪元宝”四字，钱币背面内圈刻制神龙图腾，雕琢精美，左右各有七个小圆进行点缀，无英文字母。在灯光下散发出一种淡淡的银光，带着一股王者的贵气。千百年来，龙作为中华民族的标志，受到亿万龙的传人信仰崇拜。龙之形象成为我国传统装饰的重要元素，在从古至今的许多修建、器物上都留下了永存的造型。正中蟠龙图，左右各一六点花星。蟠龙为长须龙，眼神灵异炯炯有神 ; 龙鳞雕刻细密有致，腾云驾雾，身姿遒劲有力 ; 龙爪张扬，神武有力 ; 龙身盘踞太阳，尽展皇家威严大气。
